ARF-D has raised this issue even since it was part of the coalition government and furthermore it comes from the Party’s ideology said ARF-D Member of Parliament Hrayr Karapetyan stressing that this is not a pre-electoral rhetoric for ARF-D. He also reminded that ARF-D’s bill on minimum wage’s increase doesn’t contradict the Constitution where it is mentioned that Armenia is a social state. Karapetyan said that the level of wages is very low and life is very expensive and suggested that “everything should be cut back” in order to raise wages arguing that this is the reason that many are fleeing the country and that we all stand in front of a national menace.
