Minasyan: The Law On Political Parties Is Being Constantly Violated

In the course of the Parliament’s extraordinary session’s discussions concerning the Law on Political Parties, ARF-D Member of Parliament Artsvik Minasyan argued that while the law prohibits state-persons who are simultaneously political parties’ members from taking advantage of their office in favor of their party still this norm is violated on a daily basis. Minasyan suggested that this norm should be more specified and considered an ethical rule, violation of which would carry proper sanctions. The ARF-D MP also suggested that the political parties declare having more members than the 1% (30.000 and more) of the country’s population should be submitted in audit control so, the roads of illegal financial resources be closed.
